The horrible weather we had the entire month of June finally broke yesterday. It's finally starting to look and feel like summer around here. I grabbed some shots of the Boat Basin tonite while I was there.
I was born and raised on Nantucket. I cannot remember a day when I did not go down to the waterfront to see what was going on. My very first boat was an old mortar box that I would row with a piece of wood! I currently dredge for bay scallops during the winter months. This season was my 29th year scalloping. I also run my own product application business and home caretaking business.

i like the harbor better without these mc boats
Come back in the winter and you'll see real boats on the harbor. Bay scallop boats.
What is the deal with underwater lighting on the yachts? Is it a new trend or are the owners looking for the bottom of the stock market?
That underwater lighting helps the owners of the boats search for the hope and change that Obama promised us during his presidential campaign.
