Baby Cormorants/Arabella Anchored In Channel
I ventured out to the cormorant rookery at the end of the east jetty this afternoon in my boat to see if the eggs had hatched. It looks as though they hatched a couple of weeks ago as the chicks were quite large-
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong but I took this picture today of the sailboat, Arabella. Is she not anchored directly in the middle of a navigable channel? (click to enlarge)

Helen H
During my final check of the waterfront tonite, I spotted the Helen H out of Hyannis tied up at the gas dock at the Boat Basin. This is the first time I have seen her in here. I spoke with the captain and he told me they are on a two day fluke trip with a layover here on Nantucket. They are leaving early tomorrow morning headed for the shoals. He said on the way over here today they stopped at Tuckernuck #1 to try for fluke but did not get any as there was no real drift happening. Here are a couple pictures I took of the party boat, Helen H-

Nice Evening

Storm Clouds And Pedlar
An interesting formation of storm clouds traveled from west to east over the harbor today-
Here are a couple of shots of the little wooden dragger, Pedlar, coming in after a day of conching in the Sound. I've always liked her lines.
