- I was born and raised on Nantucket. I cannot remember a day when I did not go down to the waterfront to see what was going on. My very first boat was an old mortar box that I would row with a piece of wood! I currently dredge for bay scallops during the winter months. This season was my 29th year scalloping. I also run my own product application business and home caretaking business.

I was reading last week's blog about large versus small scallop boats,highliners vs hippies.If a picture is worth a thousand words your wannabe scallopers can pull up a shot you took last winter of a "piss pot" with the boys standing on the cullingboard,sunk,with a "big,heavy,highliner" headed to the rescue.'Nuff said.
