Nice morning down at the waterfront today. I grabbed a few shots-

End of Old North Wharf Almost Done

I went to have a look at the Old North Wharf project early this morning. I'd say it's around 99% complete. The guys from AGM Marine did a really nice job on it. Everything is straight and level and it feels rock solid underfoot. I just hope the next big E or SE storm doesn't wipe the whole thing out. We'll see. Here are a few pictures I took today. Notice the floating pier section.

Children's Beach Boat Ramp Woes

While I was launching my boat at the Children's Beach Boat Ramp today, I noticed a serious problem there. The area between the finger pier and the ramp has washed out. Before, there was a bed of rocks and gravel. Now there is a one foot deep trench there. This is an accident waiting to happen. Someone is going to get stuck in the trench and break a trailer axel. Or worse, someone is going to break an ankle. Someone was nice enough to put safety cones in the trench warning everyone of the danger. Here are a couple of shots of the problem at the boat ramp. Be careful down there when you are launching a boat and walking around on the ramp.

No Spring

No spring yet again this year. We have had rain every day for over a week now. It's getting really really old. Yesterday afternoon it stopped raining for a few hours. I dusted off my gear and went on a photo shoot around the waterfront.
