IDRIS
I spotted this interesting little vessel in the Boat Basin last week. I have never seen her here before. She's a Nord Star 24 Patriot and she belongs to the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She is home ported in Nantucket.

Classic Chris Craft
While lurking around the waterfront early this morning, I spotted an old Chris Craft in the Boat Basin.
I do not know what year she is but I figure she was built in the 50's.

Good News
The good news is that summer is more than half over. We are well on our way to winter which has become my favorite time of the year now that Nantucket is unlivable during the summer. This summer has been THE worst I have ever seen in my lifetime for crowds and especially rudeness. I am so looking forward to the dead of winter when it's 20 degrees out and blowing a gale. Nobody will be around then. I'm done complaining. I have learned to avoid the crowds and rudeness. I can lurk around the waterfront very very early in the morning. That is the only time to enjoy it. Here are some scenes from this morning.
