Fourth Of July

Hard to believe it's the Fourth Of July already. Summer is half over now much to my delight. I don't know how much more of the horrific rudeness displayed by our visitors to the island I can take. Nantucket is unlivable now until Labor Day. I'm looking forward to the dead of winter when we can have our island back.

No Summer This Year

In less than three weeks summer will be half over. This is the coldest summer I can ever remember here on Nantucket. 40's at night and barely making it out of the 50's during the day. My waterfront bureau chiefs (you know who you are) are shivering as they tell me this is global warming. Maybe it will warm up around here this winter.

Figawi 2015

Nantucket celebrates the Memorial Day Weekend by hosting an ugly drunkfest. I went down to the waterfront and grabbed a few pictures of the Figawi.
